Job Overview

The role of Lab Operator at MGS Manufacturing Group involves executing quality control tasks directly connected to ongoing factory floor operations and interactions with customers and suppliers. This is a full-time position based in Leixlip, County Kildare, working 12-hour shifts on a rotating day and night schedule.

Primary Responsibilities

• Perform visual, functional, and dimensional inspections using equipment such as CMM, Vision Systems, and Manual Gauges according to designated sampling plans.
• Accurately report, analyze, and communicate findings related to product conformity, visual defects, measurement patterns, and deviations from specifications.
• Support resolution of customer complaints and managing non-conforming products, facilitating timely release of in-process products in compliance with company policies.
• Assist in conducting mandatory procedural checkbacks and collaborate with the Metrology Engineer on Measurement System Analysis (MSA) and Gauge Repeatability and Reproducibility (RR).
• Provide training to associates on metrology techniques and laboratory equipment use, while supporting training activities during shifts.
• Contribute to validation and engineering trials by accurately reporting and analyzing results.
• Ensure proper storage of samples, maintain sample areas, complete all shift paperwork accurately and in compliance with Good Documentation Practices (GDP), filing documents correctly.
• Proactively maintain alignment with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) standards, and housekeeping throughout the facility.

Qualifications and Skills

• Prior experience in a cleanroom or GMP environment is required.
• Must be able to work a four-cycle rotating shift schedule.
• Strong skills in information management and data analysis.
• Certificate in metrology, instrumentation, or a related technical field is preferred but not mandatory.
• Experience with ERP systems and Microsoft Office applications.
• Background in quality control or assurance, or experience in a metrology lab, is advantageous.
• Capability to multitask effectively.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• High consciousness of health and safety protocols.

Working Conditions

• Frequent exposure to moving mechanical parts.

Salary and Benefits

The base annual salary is €31,957.55. Including shift premiums such as Sunday pay, the total compensation can amount to €39,307.79.
