About the Role
This position focuses on managing and strengthening relationships with La Riba business banking clients. The role is centered on building durable partnerships through dependable service, fast risk-based decisions, and consistent operational quality. A key aim of the role is to improve sustainable risk-adjusted portfolio contribution while also creating new business opportunities and growing the existing client base.
What You Will Do
- Handle annual facility reviews for customers, and carry out interim reviews whenever the client’s circumstances or risk profile require it.
- Advise business owners and managers on financial, credit, and broader business matters.
- Define and communicate service expectations, pricing discussions, relationship contacts, and product updates in the most suitable way for each client.
- Resolve customer complaints and work toward practical solutions.
- Identify the most suitable La Riba products for client needs and be able to present and sell them quickly, both proactively and in response to customer requests.
- Plan and coordinate marketing efforts aimed at generating new business and deepening current relationships, including collaboration across Group businesses.
- Track compliance with risk and service standards.
- Build and maintain a target list of prospective La Riba business opportunities.
- Use customer prioritization guidelines to assess current and future value of clients and focus efforts accordingly.
- Collect the information needed to prepare and evaluate credit applications, including judgment-based inputs, while working closely with the La Riba team, SME Credit, and product specialists.
- Monitor portfolio quality and act on sanction conditions and triggers in line with RM guidelines and bank policy.
- Manage customers on the Early Warning List to help reduce risk, following guidance from Head Office and regional teams.
- Follow the procedures and guidelines set out under BB RMCD.
Requirements
- A business-related degree is required.
- The role calls for 5 years of experience in sales and 3 years in relationship management.
- Applicants should understand the bank’s core business banking products, services, and policies.
- Strong familiarity with complex La Riba products and concepts is needed to identify customer needs, recommend the right solution, introduce products and services, and coordinate support from the relevant product specialists.
- Knowledge of La Riba products and services available to personal-sector customers is also important for supporting the financial needs of business owners and key individuals.
- A broad understanding of Group-wide policies and strategies relevant to the customer base is expected.
