Role snapshot
Siemens Energy is looking for a committed kitchen assistant to support its staff restaurant and help provide employees with high-quality meals. The role is based in a lively, international environment and is suited to someone who enjoys hands-on work in a demanding setting.
This position is initially limited to 18 months. A transition to a permanent role may be possible after successful collaboration.
Main tasks
- Check food quality, then clean, peel, and cut ingredients according to requirements.
- Prepare ingredients for further processing, including seasoning and breading where needed.
- Cook simple dishes such as pasta meals and fried schnitzel.
- Move food items to the kitchen as instructed.
- Stock serving counters, serve meals, and handle cash collection at computerized checkout systems.
- Maintain HACCP records and clean as well as care for machines and kitchen tools.
Profile
The company is seeking someone with a completed vocational qualification in gastronomy. Initial work experience is helpful, although applicants at the start of their careers are also welcome. Good German skills are required, along with basic English knowledge. Team spirit and the willingness to work in a fast-paced environment are also important.
