The Hodson Bay Hotel is seeking dedicated Kitchen Porters to join our kitchen team on a full-time basis. Key Responsibilities

• Maintain thorough cleanliness of all kitchen areas including work surfaces, floors, walls, stoves, sinks, ovens, and grills to meet hotel hygiene standards.
• Operate dishwashing duties by hand or using commercial dishwashers to ensure all dishes, pots, pans, and utensils are sanitized before reuse.
• Support food preparation tasks such as peeling, chopping, and prepping basics like vegetables and salads.
• Manage kitchen waste responsibly, including proper disposal and recycling practices, while keeping waste areas neat.
• Regularly clean and maintain kitchen appliances and equipment to ensure proper functioning and hygiene.
• Comply with health and safety regulations to uphold a safe working environment.
• Assist chefs and kitchen staff during busy times with plating and workspace organization.
• Demonstrate flexibility by willingly taking on additional or varied tasks across hotel departments as needed.
• Work collaboratively with all hotel and kitchen employees to promote smooth operations and excellent guest satisfaction.
• Perform routine sweeping, mopping, garbage disposal, and organization of refrigeration and storage areas.

Candidate Requirements

• Previous experience as a Kitchen Porter or Cleaner in a hotel setting is preferred.
• Ability to work efficiently as part of a team in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
• Commitment to maintaining cleanliness and high health standards.
• Flexibility to adapt to different tasks and a positive attitude towards learning and cooperation.
