The resort is known for refined service, close attention to detail, and a luxury guest experience that includes spa offerings, dining, and leisure facilities for visitors coming for rest, events, or business.
Role Overview
This position is based on site in Knutsford, Cheshire, and is not remote. The main purpose of the role is to handle the required back-of-house duties and support surrounding areas while ensuring that 5-star standards for safety and hygiene are consistently upheld.
Key Duties
- Keep all assigned areas spotless and sanitary by washing, disinfecting, and polishing equipment, floors, walls, and kitchen spaces.
- Follow health and safety rules, including COSHH and manual handling requirements, and take part in all scheduled training.
- Prepare and issue operating equipment for functions, stock counts, and other operational needs.
- Clear waste, separate rubbish in line with hotel procedures, and keep waste areas clean and orderly.
- Provide extra cleaning support during busy periods in back-of-house areas.
- Help maintain a clean and tidy colleague environment, including locker rooms and staff facilities.
- Consistently meet personal hygiene and grooming expectations.
- Be adaptable and ready to take on other duties when needed to support guests and colleagues.
Experience and Working Style
The role calls for 1 to 3 years of hospitality experience, along with strong enough written and spoken communication skills to work effectively with different teams and stakeholders. The ideal person stays calm under pressure, handles changing priorities well, works independently, and can plan tasks to meet deadlines while still delivering quality results. The job also requires willingness to work rotating shifts, including weekends and public holidays, and confidence in communicating with people at all levels of the organisation.
