Role Summary
This is a full-time, on-site teaching position for an Arabic Teacher in the Doha Metropolitan Area. The role focuses on designing and delivering engaging Arabic lessons for assigned grade levels within an American-curriculum setting. The teacher will create lesson plans, prepare instructional resources, monitor student progress, and offer timely feedback to encourage language development.
Teaching Duties
- Plan and conduct Arabic language lessons that are engaging, age-appropriate, and aligned with school standards.
- Develop lesson plans, learning materials, and assessments that support student progress.
- Track student performance and provide feedback that helps strengthen language skills.
- Where suitable, incorporate cultural elements and relevant Islamic Studies topics in a respectful way to enrich learning.
- Maintain a well-managed classroom environment and support positive student behavior.
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians about student growth and classroom matters.
- Work with the department on planning activities and curriculum-related initiatives.
- Take part in school events, professional development programs, and collaborative activities with colleagues.
Qualifications and Experience
- Proven ability to teach Arabic to school-age children, along with strong general teaching skills.
- Experience in planning lessons, activities, and assessments that are suitable for the relevant age group and standards-based curriculum.
- Working knowledge of Islamic Studies and the ability to integrate appropriate concepts when needed.
- Strong communication skills for classroom instruction and for working with students, families, and staff.
- Arabic fluency at native or near-native level, with solid English proficiency for teaching and collaboration.
- A bachelor’s degree in Arabic Language, Education, or a related discipline; teaching certification or license is an advantage.
- Background in an international school or American-curriculum environment will be considered a plus.
- Comfort using educational technology and digital teaching tools.
- Effective classroom management and a student-centered, inclusive teaching style.
