Job description

Overview

We are hiring an Editing Expert to support the review, refinement, and translation of official correspondence and documents in both Arabic and English within a government setting in Riyadh. The role focuses on ensuring clarity, linguistic accuracy, quality control, and alignment with approved governance practices.

Responsibilities

  • Review and proofread a wide range of documents, letters, telegrams, and reports submitted for approval, and translate outgoing correspondence between Arabic and English.
  • Translate letters, communications, and documents issued by different departments in both Arabic and English.
  • Support agencies and departments with drafting correspondence and performing language proofreading when needed.
  • Contribute to developing language quality guidelines, review practices, and a log of common errors.
  • Escalate issues, risks, and challenges in coordination with relevant stakeholders in line with approved governance procedures and authority levels.
  • Coordinate with organizational units to complete joint tasks and shared work.
  • Prepare periodic reports on the department’s activities, achievements, and suggestions for performance improvement.
  • Follow workplace controls, conduct standards, cybersecurity policies, and the procedures of the organizational unit.
  • Carry out any other duties assigned by direct supervisors.

Education

A bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or a related field is required. A master’s degree in Business Administration or a related discipline is preferred.

Professional Certifications

Relevant professional certifications are preferred, such as Certified Professional Secretary, Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS), Planning and Scheduling Professional (PSP), Strategic Leader Certificate, CAME - SLC, Certified Business Professional in Customer Service (CBP), and Certified Business Professional in Dynamic Decision Making (CBP).

Experience

At least 6 years of experience in the same field is required.

This is a full-time, on-site position based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
