This is a role with a national remit across the UK.As a Key Account Manager you will work across all levels within the NHS, Public Health and Local Authority settings. You will implement national strategies for new and existing products and services, including mapping out and building stakeholder relationships. The role of the Key Account Manager is to ensure Abbott Rapid Diagnostics leads with rapid diagnostic testing within both a primary and secondary care setting and will require managing and influencing a wide variety of stakeholders.What You’ll Do Development of markets and customers, achieving sales targets, providing general customer service in the various areas of responsibilityResponsibility for the development and execution of the full Abbott Rdx product portfolio (with a key focus on microbiology and antimicrobial susceptibility testing) within UK.Leading and initiating projects or work as part of a project team as required, demonstrate excellent business acumen and strive to meet and exceed agreed financial and strategic objectivesBuilding up a strong relationship with all stakeholders in key accountsParticipating in all sales and marketing meetings as well as all important congressesUnderstanding their sales strategies and transferring the UK marketing campaigns to a regional levelAbility to articulate issues and business opportunities with relevant customers to secure long term strategic business opportunities Required Qualifications / Profile Experience in Sales and Point of Care / Diagnostics / Lab IndustryExperience in microbiology and antimicrobial susceptibility testing preferableFamiliar with laboratory and diagnostic industry practicesThorough knowledge of UK healthcare industry, NHS and private healthcare providersConsistent track record of achieving profitable growthProven success in complex negotiations and contract deliveryStrong knowledge of leasing, managed services, and long sales cyclesExperience driving change initiatives in customer‑focused organisationsConfident, persuasive communicator with strong stakeholder management skillsAbility to think innovatively and challenge existing ways of workingSelf‑motivated, resilient, and effective in fast‑paced, ambiguous environmentsResults‑driven with exceptional selling skills and customer focusExperienced working with primary and secondary care stakeholdersSkilled in building robust business casesBackground in medical devices, diagnostics, or laboratory environmentsProficient in CRM systems and MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)Working at Abbott At Abbott, you can do work that matters, grow, and learn, care for yourself and family, be your true self and live a full life.
