Role summary

This full-time Key Account Manager role is based in Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh, and covers Vijayawada along with the wider Andhra Pradesh region. The position focuses on B2B wholesale channel sales and building strong, long-term relationships with strategic accounts across FMCG, Food & Beverage, and Retail, with special emphasis on HoReCa and O&I segments.

What you will do

You will be responsible for growing revenue from high-value wholesale partners such as distributors, large dealers, aggregators, and FMCG exporters while strengthening market presence across the region.

  • Deliver primary and secondary sales performance against assigned targets in the Vijayawada territory.
  • Expand business in HoReCa and O&I channels through focused account development.
  • Create and execute quarterly account plans aimed at product placement and institutional contract wins.
  • Identify and onboard new wholesale partners, retail aggregators, and institutional suppliers.
  • Act as the main contact for senior stakeholders and procurement leaders in HoReCa and O&I accounts.
  • Address commercial and operational issues quickly to protect service quality and account health.
  • Review account performance regularly and use market insights to refine growth strategies.
  • Handle pricing discussions, bids, and contract negotiations while safeguarding profitability.
  • Prepare accurate forecasts and market updates using CRM tools.
  • Coordinate with supply and operations teams to ensure timely fulfillment and inventory readiness for just-in-time customer needs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or Marketing is required; an MBA is preferred.
  • 5 to 8 years of B2B sales experience, including at least 3 years in key account management.
  • Hands-on background in FMCG, Food & Beverage, or Retail.
  • Strong exposure to HoReCa and O&I channels is mandatory.
  • Established track record in managing wholesale and distributor networks in Vijayawada and Andhra Pradesh.
  • Deep understanding of institutional buying cycles for hotels, hospitals, and corporate offices.
  • Proven ability to negotiate complex commercial deals and institutional tenders.
  • Comfortable using MS Excel for pipeline tracking and forecasting.
  • Excellent English, Hindi, and Telugu communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Willingness to travel extensively across Vijayawada and nearby districts.
