Job description

Overview

The Key Account Executive will play a crucial role within the Commercial Department, specifically in the Bonded Zone, reporting directly to the Senior Business Development Manager. This position is responsible for fostering business expansion and managing customer relationships through efficient handling of inquiries, active follow-up on business prospects, strict adherence to CRM protocols, coordination of account activities, and assisting with sales reporting according to departmental guidelines.

Main Duties

  • Handling customer questions and diligently pursuing potential business leads.
  • Regularly updating and maintaining leads, opportunities, meetings, follow-ups, and customer communication data within the CRM system.
  • Organizing meetings with customers, site inspections, and subsequent account follow-up tasks.
  • Following up on quotations sent, outstanding decisions, and renewal processes with clients.
  • Assisting in the growth of significant accounts by identifying chances for upselling and cross-selling.
  • Liaising internally with Commercial, Operations, and Finance teams to ensure prompt fulfillment of customer requirements.
  • Maintaining consistent communication and support to assigned customers to ensure ongoing account continuity.
  • Raising any operational or customer-related issues that might impede opportunity progression or account retention.
  • Helping to prepare the Sales Pack and contribute to the monthly sales reporting inputs.
  • Ensuring full compliance with CRM management and reporting standards.

Role Limitations

  • This position does not authorize approval of discounts, special pricing, or non-standard contractual terms.
  • Quotation approvals and contract-related decisions are managed exclusively by the Commercial function and its approval procedures.
  • The role focuses on customer follow-ups, account coordination, supporting business opportunities, and maintaining CRM discipline.

Deliverables and Reporting

  • Weekly updates on sales pipeline and account follow-up status.
  • Documentation of key customer interactions and follow-up actions.
  • Identification of primary obstacles affecting sales opportunities or account continuity.
  • Monthly contributions to Sales Pack, including pipeline movements, reasons for won or lost opportunities, updates on key accounts, and new business prospects with estimated volumes.
