Role overview

We are seeking a numbers-savvy and technically capable estimator for an established industrial services company known for international projects and stable business performance. The position is based in the Merseburg area and focuses on preparing accurate technical and commercial bids for demanding EMSR projects in industrial plant construction.

What the role involves

• Review incoming customer inquiries and translate them into reliable quantity take-offs, mass calculations, and technical scope descriptions.
• Independently prepare both the technical and commercial parts of offers for complex EMSR projects in industrial plant engineering.
• Price services in a market-oriented and economically sound way while balancing technical, scheduling, and commercial conditions.
• Act as the technical point of contact for customers throughout the bidding stage until contract award, working closely with internal specialist teams.
• Coordinate closely with procurement to identify suitable suppliers and subcontractors.
• Contribute actively to improving estimating standards and proposal processes within the team.

Candidate profile

• Completed vocational training in an electrical or mechatronic field, for example as an electrical plant installer, electrician, or in a similar trade.
• Ideally, further qualification as an electrical engineering technician or several years of hands-on experience in industrial EMSR work.
• Initial experience in estimating technical projects, or alternatively solid installation or site management experience in plant engineering.
• Strong understanding of electrical and mechanical relationships, combined with commercial thinking.
• Organized, self-directed, and accurate working style with a strong service mindset.
• Confident use of MS Office plus good written and spoken German and English.
