Job summary

This is a remote opportunity for a junior-level analyst who can help improve the efficiency and cost-effectiveness of supply chain operations. The role centers on working with data, tracking inventory, supporting forecasting, and finding ways to streamline processes. It is a strong fit for someone aiming to grow a career in supply chain management.

Key responsibilities

  • Gather, review, and interpret supply chain information to spot patterns and operational bottlenecks.
  • Help with demand forecasting and inventory planning activities.
  • Keep an eye on stock levels and support efforts to avoid shortages or excess inventory.
  • Assist procurement and logistics teams by providing data-driven insights and reports.
  • Prepare recurring updates on supply chain performance, including KPIs, costs, and delivery timelines.
  • Work with teams across procurement, warehousing, and transportation to support day-to-day operations.
  • Look for opportunities to improve processes and reduce costs.
  • Maintain accurate data and records in supply chain systems and databases.

Qualifications

  • A bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Logistics, or a similar field is required.
  • Up to 2 years of experience in supply chain, logistics, or data analysis is acceptable; internship experience also counts.
  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving ability are important for this role.
  • Advanced Excel skills are needed, including pivot tables and VLOOKUP; SQL or other data tools would be an added advantage.
  • Prior exposure to ERP systems is beneficial.
  • Good communication and organizational skills are expected.
  • The ability to work both independently and collaboratively is necessary.

Preferred skills

  • Working knowledge of core supply chain functions such as procurement, inventory, and distribution.
  • Experience using data visualization platforms like Power BI or Tableau.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage several tasks at once.
