Overview

Helic & Co is looking to hire a Junior Software Engineer who is eager to grow and contribute to building robust software solutions. This role offers a valuable chance for those early in their career to develop their technical expertise in a supportive and collaborative setting.

Key Responsibilities

Support the development, testing, and upkeep of software applications and systems.
Produce clean, efficient, and well-maintained code.
Engage in code reviews and absorb best practices from experienced engineers.
Diagnose and resolve software bugs and issues.
Work closely with teams across product management, design, and quality assurance.
Participate in discussions about software design and assist with implementation strategies.
Enhance and maintain current codebases.
Assist in deployment activities and monitor application performance to ensure reliability.

Qualifications

Possession of a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.
Experience ranging from zero to two years in software development, including internship engagements.
Proficient in at least one programming language such as Java, Python, JavaScript, or C++.
Fundamental knowledge of software engineering concepts and data structures.
Experience with version control tools like Git.
Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
Effective communication and ability to collaborate within a team environment.

Additional Preferred Skills

Familiarity with front-end and back-end web development frameworks, including React, Angular, or Node.js.
Understanding of database technologies, either SQL or NoSQL.
Knowledge of RESTful API development and microservices architecture principles.
Experience or exposure to cloud services such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
Awareness of Agile or Scrum software development methodologies.
