Overview
Helic & Co is looking to hire a Junior Software Engineer who is eager to grow and contribute to building robust software solutions. This role offers a valuable chance for those early in their career to develop their technical expertise in a supportive and collaborative setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the development, testing, and upkeep of software applications and systems.
- Produce clean, efficient, and well-maintained code.
- Engage in code reviews and absorb best practices from experienced engineers.
- Diagnose and resolve software bugs and issues.
- Work closely with teams across product management, design, and quality assurance.
- Participate in discussions about software design and assist with implementation strategies.
- Enhance and maintain current codebases.
- Assist in deployment activities and monitor application performance to ensure reliability.
Qualifications
- Possession of a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Experience ranging from zero to two years in software development, including internship engagements.
- Proficient in at least one programming language such as Java, Python, JavaScript, or C++.
- Fundamental knowledge of software engineering concepts and data structures.
- Experience with version control tools like Git.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Effective communication and ability to collaborate within a team environment.
Additional Preferred Skills
- Familiarity with front-end and back-end web development frameworks, including React, Angular, or Node.js.
- Understanding of database technologies, either SQL or NoSQL.
- Knowledge of RESTful API development and microservices architecture principles.
- Experience or exposure to cloud services such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
- Awareness of Agile or Scrum software development methodologies.
