Role overview
Significance Inc. is looking for a driven and highly organized Junior Recruiter to join its expanding Talent Acquisition team. This is a strong opportunity for an early-career recruiting professional who enjoys connecting great candidates with impactful federal work and wants to grow in an environment centered on trust, teamwork, and respect.
The role supports end-to-end recruiting for a wide range of positions across federal civilian and Department of Defense customer programs. Reporting to the Talent Acquisition Manager, the Junior Recruiter will partner closely with hiring managers and leadership to source, assess, and move candidates through the hiring process while helping create a positive candidate journey and supporting the team’s growth.
Responsibilities
- Manage recruiting activities across the full hiring cycle for both cleared and uncleared roles.
- Find candidates through LinkedIn Recruiter, Indeed, job boards, referrals, and the internal ATS database.
- Handle typically 4 to 6 active openings at a time, with the ability to take on more when new federal contracts are awarded.
- Keep up weekly sourcing efforts to build and maintain a strong pipeline for priority positions.
- Run early-stage recruiter screens to evaluate qualifications, communication ability, and overall match.
- Set up and coordinate interviews between candidates and hiring teams.
- Maintain complete and accurate records in the Applicant Tracking System, including candidate details, workflow status, and documentation.
- Provide a smooth candidate experience through regular communication and reliable follow-through.
- Take part in recruiting events, job fairs, networking activities, and other talent acquisition initiatives.
Requirements
- 1 to 3 years of experience in recruiting or staffing.
- Background in government contracting or technical recruiting is preferred.
- Proven ability to manage several open requisitions and recruiting tasks in a fast-paced federal consulting setting.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, along with good organizational ability.
- A strong sense of urgency, flexibility, and the ability to prioritize a high volume of hiring activity.
- Hands-on experience using LinkedIn Recruiter, Indeed, and ATS platforms to source talent and manage pipelines.
- Ability to use creative sourcing methods and Boolean search techniques.
- High attention to detail, proactive work style, and strong follow-through on candidate communication and recruiting tasks.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- Bachelor’s degree is preferred, though relevant experience may substitute.
Preferred qualifications

- Exposure to Department of Defense or federal civilian recruiting.
- Familiarity with security clearance processes and government contracting language.
- Experience supporting recruiting coordination and interview scheduling.
Compensation and benefits
The listed base salary for this position is $55,000 to $72,000 per year. Pay is determined within a range based on the role scope, location, labor market conditions, and factors such as experience, education, and relevant skill set.
