About the Role

Select Roofing & Cladding Ltd. is seeking a Junior Quantity Surveyor to join their Commercial team in Dublin and project sites. This full-time permanent position offers an excellent opportunity for recent graduates or early-career professionals to develop practical commercial experience in quantity surveying across significant construction projects. The role involves working directly with experienced Quantity Surveyors and other operational teams to gain skills in estimating, procurement, contract administration, and project financial management.

Key Responsibilities

• Supporting the Senior Quantity Surveyor, Project Managers, and operational staff in managing commercial and financial aspects of projects throughout their duration.
• Assisting with detailed construction cost estimates, including materials, labor, and overheads.
• Helping establish and track project budgets during the entire lifecycle.
• Supporting tender preparation, analysis, and procurement documentation.
• Contributing to value-engineering assessments alongside design and project teams.
• Assisting with contract administration and ensuring adherence to contractual obligations.
• Preparing and contributing to commercial reports and cost information.
• Monitoring project expenditures and identifying any cost variances, risks, or issues.
• Tracking design and construction changes and updating budget forecasts accordingly.
• Maintaining clear communication with clients, contractors, subcontractors, and internal teams.
• Organizing and maintaining accurate commercial documentation.

Candidate Profile

• Possess a third-level qualification in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management or a related field.
• Strong passion for construction cost management and commercial aspects of project delivery.
• Good numerical and analytical abilities with high attention to detail.
• Competent in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft 365 applications.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines efficiently.
• Proactive with a willingness to learn and develop skills.
• Prior experience in construction, surveying, or commercial administration is advantageous but not mandatory.
