Role overview
TAO Digital Solutions is looking for a detail-focused Junior Manual QA Tester to strengthen its Quality Assurance team in Cupertino, CA. The position centers on hands-on testing of web products and native iOS apps, with an emphasis on disciplined manual QA practices, sharp analysis, and close teamwork across functions to help ship reliable software.
What you will do
- Carry out manual checks on web-based applications as well as native iOS apps.
- Build, write, run, and update structured test cases, test plans, and test scenarios.
- Find software issues, record them clearly, rank them by priority, and follow them through the full defect workflow.
- Conduct functional, regression, integration, and exploratory test cycles.
- Confirm fixes and re-run regression tests before software is released to production.
- Partner with developers, product managers, designers, and QA colleagues to support product quality.
- Investigate application behavior and debug issues with network inspection tools such as Charles Proxy.
- Take part in Agile meetings including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
- Keep testing documentation and test outcomes organized and up to date.
What we're looking for
- One to three years of experience in manual software QA or black-box testing.
- Demonstrated ability to spot defects, write bug reports, and perform regression testing.
- Hands-on experience preparing and executing test cases, test plans, and test scenarios.
- Background in testing complex software environments.
- Strong practical experience with web application testing.
- Experience validating native iOS mobile applications.
- Excellent attention to detail and analytical problem-solving skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication, plus the ability to work well with cross-functional teams.
- Familiarity with traffic analysis tools such as Charles Proxy.
