Role Overview
The Junior Graphic Designer will help shape and strengthen the brand’s visual identity across print and digital channels. In this role, you will partner with creative leadership and the internal design team to deliver polished, on-brand work for packaging, events, ecommerce, social media, and merchandising.
This position is hybrid and requires three days per week in the office in Santa Monica. The role reports to the Design Director.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and refine product packaging designs under the Design Director’s direction, maintaining visual consistency across all product lines and franchises.
- Create graphic assets for both print and digital needs, including Sephora and direct-to-consumer web banners, email visuals, social content, event materials, and merchandise.
- Support the creative team with ideation work such as concept development, moodboarding, and sourcing inspiration for launches and campaigns.
- Handle production-focused design tasks like resizing assets, preparing files, formatting materials, and adapting packaging for international markets.
- Work with Product Development, Marketing, and Merchandising to support packaging, retail presentation, and full-funnel campaign creative.
What We’re Looking For
- A designer who is genuinely enthusiastic about typography, layout systems, and the history of graphic design.
- Strong visual judgment, refined taste, and the ability to create distinctive, memorable work.
- A portfolio that reflects an individual creative style and point of view.
- 1 to 3 years of professional design experience, preferably in beauty or lifestyle brands.
- Background working with print layouts and packaging dielines is an advantage.
- Digital design experience is preferred, especially for email creatives, homepage banners, and GIF production.
- Excellent attention to detail, strong communication skills, and the ability to manage several projects simultaneously.
- Comfort working in a high-paced environment.
- A proactive mindset, collaborative approach, and willingness to learn and develop further.
- Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.
Additional Information
Salary range for this role is $70,500 to $80,000 annually.
The role is based in Los Angeles, California, with in-office attendance required three days per week in Santa Monica.
