About The Role

The Junior Design Consultant is a full-time position based in our Hollywood, FL showroom. This role is crucial for providing exceptional customer service, expert product guidance, and robust sales support to clients and internal teams. Key responsibilities include managing sample fulfillment, supporting showroom operations, maintaining stockroom organization, and assisting clients with product selections. As an individual contributor, this role is vital for ensuring a positive customer experience and maintaining operational efficiency within the showroom.

What You Will Do

• Provide expert product selection assistance to clients, advising on patterns, colors, trims, and available options.
• Support sales initiatives through strategic product recommendations and suggestive selling tailored to client needs.
• Manage and coordinate special product requests and custom orders for showroom clients.
• Prepare, package, and ship memo sample requests for the designated sales territory.
• Customize, measure, and cut product samples to support client projects and sales opportunities.
• Accurately generate and process customer orders, quotations, and reserves.
• Maintain showroom displays and product presentations to ensure an organized and appealing environment.
• Oversee stockroom organization, inventory of memo samples, and product storage for optimal efficiency.
• Participate in inventory audits and related activities as required.
• Collaborate with Outside Sales Associates by preparing sample packages and fulfilling showroom requests.
• Liaise with internal departments to ensure timely fulfillment of customer needs and operational requirements.
• Contribute to ongoing efforts to enhance showroom operations and the overall customer experience.

Requirements

• Associate or Bachelor's Degree.
• 1-3 years of experience in customer service, retail, showroom environments, hospitality, or sales support.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to accurately measure, cut, prepare, and organize product samples.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Demonstrated customer service orientation.
• Effective verbal and written communication abilities.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
• Capacity to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting.
• Professional presentation and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in a showroom, the design industry, or with luxury goods.
• Knowledge of interior design, textiles, furnishings, or related fields.
• Experience supporting sales teams and customer-facing roles.
• Familiarity with order entry, CRM, or inventory management systems.
• Basic understanding of interior design principles, textiles, trims, or luxury furnishings.

• Competitive salary range of $42,000 to $45,000 annually, plus incentives.
