Job description
Position Summary
This role supports the IT Operations Control and Conduct Chief Office's Line of Defense 1 and 2 teams to enhance their data analytics needs. Responsibilities include automating and consolidating existing control processes, developing new analytic methods, producing data visualizations, and applying artificial intelligence techniques.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement AI models, especially in natural language processing, to analyze textual data from banking professions while upholding ethical and confidentiality standards. Tasks encompass sentiment analysis, document classification, summarization, and information extraction.
- Work collaboratively with business experts, product owners, developers, and data scientists to define project scope, data sources, metrics, deliverables, and ensure AI governance compliance.
- Conduct diverse data analyses, including gathering and preparing data using ETL concepts and technologies, and self-learning new APIs or methods as required.
- Create automation scripts and reusable libraries to streamline processes and generate visualizations highlighting risk indicators such as KPIs and KRIs.
- Maintain thorough documentation for deliverables to facilitate understanding and automated insights, ensuring proper technical deployment and usage.
- Stay updated on advances in artificial intelligence to propose innovative improvements continuously.
Required Experience and Competencies
- Proficient in various data analytics techniques including diagnostic, prescriptive, descriptive, predictive, cognitive, statistical, text (NLP), and risk analysis.
- Hands-on programming skills in Python, PowerShell, and SQL; familiarity with APIs, DevOps methodologies, operating systems, network fundamentals, and IT culture.
- Knowledge of machine learning model training, inference, and prompt engineering.
- Strong coding practices and understanding of software development lifecycles.
- Minimum of 3 years professional experience in relevant roles.
- Experience in project and change management is advantageous.
- Preference given to candidates with experience in multinational companies operating onshore and offshore models.

- Knowledge of the banking and financial services sector.
- Familiarity with information security and risk management is a plus but not required.
