Junior Data Analyst

About the Role

Research Made Clear is seeking a Junior Data Analyst to join their team in Berlin, Germany, on a full-time, onsite basis. This entry-level position is designed for recent graduates or professionals in the early stages of their career who have a strong passion for data and analytics. The successful candidate will contribute to data collection, reporting, and business intelligence efforts to support effective decision-making across the company.

Key Responsibilities

• Gather, clean, verify, and structure data from different sources to maintain accuracy and uniformity.
• Examine datasets to uncover trends, patterns, and actionable insights that can influence business strategies.
• Create recurring reports, dashboards, and visual data presentations to communicate findings to management and stakeholders.
• Help develop and sustain business intelligence reports and key performance metrics.
• Provide analytical assessments and recommendations to facilitate data-driven decisions.
• Track and monitor essential performance indicators to measure business outcomes.
• Conduct ad hoc analyses supporting operational, financial, marketing, and strategic projects.
• Work collaboratively with various teams to understand data needs and reporting objectives.
• Ensure data integrity and adherence to data governance policies.
• Contribute to process improvements by automating reports and refining data collection methodologies.
• Maintain documentation of data sources, analysis techniques, and reporting processes.
• Keep abreast of advancements in data analytics tools, methodologies, and industry best practices.

Candidate Requirements

• Fundamental understanding of data analysis principles, statistics, and reporting.
• Proficient use of Microsoft Excel, including expertise in formulas, pivot tables, charts, and data manipulation.
• Basic familiarity with SQL for database querying and data extraction is preferred.
• Exposure to data visualization software such as Power BI, Tableau, Looker Studio, or comparable platforms is beneficial.
• Introductory knowledge of programming languages or analytics tools like Python or R is an advantage.
• Strong analytical thinking, critical reasoning, and problem-solving capabilities.
• Attention to detail with a strong commitment to data accuracy.
• Effective communication skills for clearly presenting analytical findings.
• Capability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines within a fast-paced environment.
• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Data Analytics, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Business Analytics, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related fields is preferred.
