Role Overview

This Junior Data Analyst position is a contract role with SecureRx, initially spanning 6 to 12 months, with potential for permanent employment. The role is fully remote within Canada and involves converting operational and verification datasets into actionable insights. Key tasks include constructing and maintaining dashboards, analyzing pharmacy interactions with the medication verification system, curating and validating medication datasets including Drug Identification Numbers (DINs), product imagery, and packaging variations. The analyst will also contribute to assessing the performance of computer vision models using clear and well-documented analyses.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain operational dashboards for medication verification processes.
  • Perform ad-hoc data analyses to inform business decisions.
  • Prepare datasets, ensuring high quality and accuracy, including medication codes and imagery.
  • Document metrics and data definitions clearly and comprehensively.
  • Collaborate closely with engineering teams and company founders to support data-driven decision-making.
  • Communicate analytical findings in an accessible manner for non-technical stakeholders.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Strong foundational analytical skills, proficient with spreadsheets and basic SQL queries.
  • Meticulous attention to data quality and documentation.
  • Effective communication ability to explain data insights to diverse audiences.
  • Relevant academic background such as Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Business Analytics, or equivalent experience.
  • Familiarity with Python (especially pandas), BI platforms like Metabase, Power BI, or Looker, or exposure to healthcare datasets is advantageous.
  • Interest in healthcare, pharmacy operations, or patient safety considered a plus.

Compensation and Terms

This position offers an hourly wage ranging from CA$28 to CA$38 based on experience, with a full-time contract commitment during the term. The role is remote but requires Canadian residency.
