Role Overview

As a Junior Analyst at Zeno, you will play a key role in supporting research, measurement, and intelligence activities that enable clients to make well-informed communication and business decisions. This role involves close collaboration with analytics, strategy, digital, and account teams to gather, analyze, and interpret data, transforming it into actionable insights that guide communication strategies and enhance client outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor news, media, digital conversations, and industry trends to identify pertinent information, emerging challenges, and opportunities for clients.
  • Assist with collecting, organizing, and analyzing data from multiple sources to generate valuable insights supporting measurement and analytics initiatives.
  • Contribute to preparing reports, briefs, newsletters, crisis alerts, and other intelligence documents that clarify performance and developments for clients and internal teams.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including analytics, digital, and account groups to translate research and data into strategic recommendations.
  • Develop understanding of how measurement, monitoring, and analytics underpin public relations, integrated communications, and business decision-making.
  • Pursue ongoing professional growth by gaining expertise in analytics tools, communication measurement methodologies, and industry trends.

Candidate Profile

  • 0 to 2 years of experience in analytics, research, communications, marketing, public relations, or related areas.
  • Passionate about data, research, media, communications, and deriving insights to inform decisions.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to summarize complex information clearly.
  • Curious and eager to explore new analytical tools and technologies.
  • Strong organization and time management capabilities to handle multiple priorities effectively.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
  • Familiar with research, analytics, media monitoring, or digital measurement platforms such as Cision, Muck Rack, Talkwalker, PeakMetrics, Google Analytics, NewsWhip, SEMrush, or similar.
  • Analytical mindset comfortable working with qualitative and quantitative data.
  • Team player with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of marketing, communications, or public relations measurement principles.
  • Experience or exposure to data analysis, visualization, or business intelligence tools.
  • Basic familiarity with data collection, audience research, or digital analytics practices.
  • Relevant coursework, internships, or projects in analytics, communications research, marketing, or business intelligence.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary for this position ranges from $55,000 to $60,000 USD annually, with the specific pay reflecting factors such as education, certifications, experience, performance, geographic location, and other organizational criteria.
