Role overview
ABM Industries is seeking a dependable Janitorial Cleaner for its Wilsonville, AL location. In this position, you will help keep the facility clean, sanitary, and organized so the workplace remains safe and welcoming for employees, clients, and visitors. This is a hands-on role focused on routine cleaning, sanitation, and supporting day-to-day facility upkeep.
What the role involves
- Carry out regular cleaning work such as sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and polishing floors and surfaces.
- Disinfect restrooms, restock supplies, and maintain required hygiene standards.
- Remove trash and recycling, following company guidelines for disposal.
- Clean glass surfaces including windows and mirrors.
- Properly keep, organize, and maintain cleaning tools and supplies.
- Escalate maintenance concerns, safety risks, and stock shortages to the supervisor.
- Support room setup and cleanup for meetings, events, and special assignments when needed.
- Adhere to all safety rules and sanitation procedures set by the company.
Qualifications
Applicants should be comfortable working independently, staying organized, and managing time effectively. Familiarity with cleaning products, equipment, and basic safety practices is important. A strong eye for detail and a commitment to doing quality work are also expected. Prior background in janitorial, custodial, or general cleaning work is an advantage. A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
