Role Overview

The evening shift custodian reports to the Sanitation Manager and plays a key role in maintaining a safe, clean, and sanitary plant environment. The position focuses heavily on cleanliness, health, and safety across the facility.

Key Duties

• Keep the entire facility clean and orderly.
• Clean floors and rooms by dusting, mopping, sweeping, vacuuming, operating floor scrubbers, picking up debris, and spot-cleaning glass and windows.
• Sanitize restrooms and cafeterias by refilling dispensers, removing waste, cleaning and disinfecting fixtures, cleaning mirrors, spot-cleaning partitions and walls, and sweeping and mopping tile floors.
• Wash, dry, sort, and store uniform items in the designated area.
• Vacuum areas, empty garbage containers, and replace liners as needed.
• Track and maintain sanitation and organization standards in assigned spaces.
• Take on other related tasks when required.

What You Need

• High school completion or an equivalent credential is preferred.
• Experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment is considered an advantage.
• Comfort working in a fast-moving, demanding, and changing setting.
• Ability to stay self-driven and work independently or collaboratively.
• Capability to repeat physical motions for extended periods.
• Hands-on familiarity with cleaning tools such as vacuums, floor buffers, and cleaning agents.
• Experience handling, mixing, and using cleaning chemicals safely.
• Strong manual dexterity.
• Good physical stamina.
• Ability to stand and walk for long periods.

Compensation

The starting wage is $21.26 per hour, with potential growth up to $29.35 per hour based on experience.
