Janitor - Full Time and Part Time

About the Role

SSC Services for Education is currently seeking motivated individuals for both full-time and part-time Janitor roles at McDonough High School, located at 155 Postmaster Drive, McDonough, GA 30253, with additional openings available across the school district. This position contributes to maintaining clean, safe, and organized school environments ensuring optimal learning conditions for students.

Key Responsibilities

• Remove trash and dispose of waste properly in line with infection control and safety procedures.
• Perform dusting, damp mopping, and thorough cleaning of floors and surfaces.
• Relocate furniture and equipment to enable effective cleaning and return items to original placement.
• Use designated cleaning materials and equipment following an eight-step cleaning process to sanitize all areas.
• Clean walls, windows, furniture, baseboards, and other surfaces to uphold a sanitary environment for students, staff, and visitors.
• Identify areas in need of cleaning and proactively complete necessary tasks.
• Adhere strictly to federal, state, and county regulations while performing cleaning duties.
• Strip, scrub, buff, refinish floors, and shampoo carpets as required.
• Maintain professional conduct and collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders.
• Complete additional tasks as assigned by supervisors.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Previous experience in janitorial, cleaning, or housekeeping roles is mandatory.

Schedule and Compensation

• Positions offer flexible full-time or part-time schedules from Monday to Friday; specific hours will be discussed during the interview process.
• Hourly wage is set at $12.02.
