Overview
The Janitor Busser at Twin Peaks is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation throughout the restaurant, demonstrating pride, strict standards, and discipline in their duties.
Uniform Standards
- Wear a clean Twin Peaks black hat facing forward at all times with the brim unbent.
- Keep hair clean and fully covered by the hat.
- Maintain a clean-shaven appearance; facial hair such as beards and mustaches are permitted but must be well-groomed.
- Keep fingernails trimmed.
- Do not wear jewelry on ears, face, neck, or wrists.
- No headphones or earbuds allowed during work.
- Wear a clean, unfaded, and wrinkle-free Twin Peaks kitchen shirt, tucked in.
Primary Responsibilities
- Follow uniform policies consistently.
- Comply with all procedures ensuring the restaurant is clean and sanitized.
- Maintain organized and tidy stations and equipment.
- Adhere to Head of House standards, safety, sanitation, and GHS (Globally Harmonized System) regulations at all times.
- Work cooperatively as part of a team.
- Participate in training sessions using tablets or computers.
- Perform effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Carry out additional tasks assigned by management as needed.
- Assist with opening and closing duties such as sweeping, mopping, and cleaning tables.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a janitor or busser is preferred.
- Effective communication skills in English to understand and follow cleaning and sanitizing protocols.
- Ability to apply common sense and follow simple instructions, managing routine situations with limited variability.
- Completion of orientation and agreement to Twin Peaks' policies and procedures is mandatory.
- Successful completion of required training programs before working unsupervised, including compliance with local and state regulations such as food and alcohol service certifications.
Physical Requirements
- Regularly required to stand, walk, handle objects, and communicate.
- Must reach with hands and arms and occasionally lift or move items weighing up to 15 pounds.
- Possess good close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and focus ability.
Work Environment
- Regular exposure to kitchen fumes and airborne particles.
- Occasional exposure to wet or humid conditions in dishwashing or refrigeration areas.
- Possible contact with toxic or caustic cleaning chemicals.
- Potential exposure to cigarette or cigar smoke due to smoking sections in some locations.
