Job description

Position Overview

We are seeking a passionate IT System Administrator to join our team at aconnic, based in Hartmannsdorf, Saxony, Germany. This is a full-time, permanent role with immediate start. As part of an international environment, you will be managing modern IT infrastructures, driving interesting projects, and taking on responsibilities in a diverse setting. The role offers opportunities for continuous learning and professional growth in IT competencies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and maintain IT infrastructure for aconnic and NewTal, ensuring system availability and performance.
  • Manage Microsoft and Linux servers as well as virtualization platforms including VMware, Hyper-V, and Proxmox to provide a robust IT environment.
  • Maintain network infrastructure comprising Fortinet firewalls and HPE switches, configure routing and VLANs, optimizing security and performance.
  • Administer Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and other domain services, ensuring seamless integration.
  • Plan and execute system updates and patches to guarantee system stability, security, and currency.
  • Develop and manage Microsoft 365 services including Entra, Intune, SharePoint, Teams, and Exchange Online.
  • Support Microsoft Terminal Servers, Remote Desktop Services, and backup infrastructure using Veeam Backup & Replication.
  • Provide 1st- and 2nd-level user support, troubleshoot complex IT issues, and coordinate server and network projects with internal and external partners.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Computer Science, Information or Communication Technology, comparable IT training (e.g., System Integration Specialist), or several years of experience managing IT environments in enterprises.
  • Experience in system integration and operation of modern IT infrastructures.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft client and server OS, Linux, and Apple macOS.
  • Hands-on experience with VMware (ESXi, vCenter), Veeam Backup & Replication, and Microsoft 365 environments.
  • Fluent German language skills and good command of English.
  • Strong team spirit, responsibility, and reliability.
  • Willingness to learn, continuous professional development, and a proactive hands-on attitude.
  • Ability to work independently and maintain oversight in complex IT environments.
