IT Support Technician

Role Overview

River Oaks Country Club is looking for a part-time IT generalist to help keep day-to-day technology operations running smoothly. This position suits someone who is adaptable, highly organized, service-minded, and comfortable working across several areas of IT. Students are welcome to apply.

This is an on-site role in Houston, TX with a pay rate starting at $27.00 per hour. The schedule is part-time, with up to 25 hours each week, and the hours are flexible.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver hands-on technical support for employee hardware, software, VoIP desk phones, and Microsoft 365 for a workforce of about 300 people.
• Diagnose issues raised by users and work through them quickly and effectively.
• Record clear notes and updates in the support ticketing system, including how problems were resolved.
• Install, set up, and keep software applications current.
• Build and maintain accurate documentation for IT systems, processes, and troubleshooting procedures.
• Create and update internal user instructions, best practices, and reference material.
• Work with other departments to help deliver projects and complete shared goals.

Required Qualifications

• Strong ability to troubleshoot problems involving hardware, software, and networking.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows 11 desktop systems and Windows Server 2019/2022 environments.
• Basic understanding of networking fundamentals such as TCP/IP, DNS, and DHCP.
• Familiarity with Microsoft 365 tools, including Office, Teams, and OneDrive.
