IT Director

About the Role

A well-established organization based in Saudi Arabia is looking to appoint an experienced IT Director to spearhead their technology division. This senior leadership position involves defining and implementing the IT vision, leading digital innovation, and ensuring the technology infrastructure enables business expansion and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement the comprehensive IT strategy that aligns with the organization's goals
• Lead and mentor teams responsible for infrastructure, software applications, security, and support services
• Manage enterprise-wide systems, ERP solutions, cloud services, and network operations
• Initiate and oversee digital transformation projects supporting organizational growth objectives
• Set up and enforce IT governance policies and cybersecurity measures
• Ensure adherence to Saudi Arabian regulatory standards including cybersecurity (NCA, SAMA/CITC where relevant)
• Handle IT financial planning, vendor partnerships, and technology acquisitions
• Maintain business continuity plans, disaster recovery protocols, and data protection strategies
• Collaborate with executive leadership and department heads to identify technological improvements

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or a closely related discipline; Master’s or MBA is advantageous
• Over 15 years of progressive experience in IT, with a minimum of 5 years in senior management roles
• Demonstrable expertise in leading IT strategy, managing enterprise infrastructure, and executing digital transformation initiatives
• Strong knowledge of ERP systems, cloud computing platforms, cybersecurity, and IT governance models such as ITIL, COBIT, ISO 27001
• Understanding of Saudi data protection laws and regulatory environment (including NCA ECC, PDPL) is highly beneficial
• Proven skills in budget management, vendor relations, and cross-functional team leadership
• Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder engagement abilities
• Experience within Saudi Arabia or the GCC region preferred; Arabic language skills are a plus
• Professional certifications like PMP, CISSP, ITIL, or TOGAF would be advantageous
