Context

Following a major acquisition in New Zealand, VINCI Construction is launching a comprehensive IT integration program which is central to the company's growth strategy in the region. This program is pivotal for the operational integration success and the future efficiency of the acquired business unit.

VINCI Construction’s IT department is executing a robust IT system integration led by a cross-functional team of infrastructure and cybersecurity experts based in France, closely coordinating with local New Zealand IT teams.

Role Overview

Located in Auckland, you will serve as a crucial local liaison between New Zealand teams and VINCI Construction SI’s central IT department. You will be reporting to the Coordination team led by Pierre d’AGOSTINO, part of a 10-person unit aiming at overcoming time zone differences and ensuring hands-on local project supervision.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the main local contact in New Zealand, facilitating coordination between local teams, the acquired entity, and the central IT department.
  • Support and oversee operational coordination of the IT integration program locally.
  • Track actions, priorities, and local risks in alignment with central teams.
  • Identify critical issues and escalate them appropriately within governance structures.
  • Prepare and compile reporting materials for program monitoring.
  • Encourage cooperation between local and central teams.
  • Take part in project meetings, workshops, and committees.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Hold a master’s degree or equivalent (business school, engineering school, or university).
  • Possess at least 2 years’ experience in IT systems.
  • Have initial project management experience within an IT environment, exposed to infrastructure, cybersecurity, or user support topics.
  • Demonstrate strong motivation to contribute tangibly to a strategic international project.
  • Show organizational skills and autonomy.
  • Exhibit excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.
  • Fluent English is essential.
