About the Role

Maynooth University is seeking an experienced IT Business Intelligence (BI) Manager to join its IT Services department on a full-time, permanent basis. Reporting to the Head of Enterprise Solutions, this key position involves overseeing the implementation, administration, and optimization of Business Intelligence and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) platforms. The manager will ensure that these platforms align with University aims to enhance user engagement, operational performance, governance, security, and data-driven decision making across staff, students, and stakeholders.

Team and Collaboration

The role includes leading and expanding a BI/CRM Unit currently composed of 2 members to an estimated team of 6 to 7, including specialists in CRM, senior data analysis, and integration engineering. The manager will help cultivate a high-performing team environment focused on best practices, capability growth, and a collaborative ethos that supports Maynooth University's increasing demand for data and analytics.

Technical Focus

The IT Business Intelligence Manager will work closely with the Head of Enterprise Solutions, Business Systems Manager, and other functional teams. Key responsibilities include harmonizing the CRM ecosystem and advancing a modern analytics platform utilizing packaged CRM systems, Microsoft Dynamics, Power BI, Azure tabular and semantic models under Microsoft Fabric.

Salary and Conditions

The position is classified at Senior Administrative Officer IV Grade, with a salary range between 71,441 and 113,437 annually across seven incremental points. Appointment and remuneration will conform to public sector pay guidelines. The position operates under the statutory regulations of Maynooth University.
