Job description

About Antler

Antler is a worldwide venture capital firm focused on the earliest stages of company building. The firm works with exceptional founders from the very beginning, helping them turn strong ideas and early ambition into scalable businesses. Antler’s approach is to spot standout people before a company, team, or product fully exists, then support them with co-founders, funding, and conviction to build venture-scale companies.

Established in 2017, Antler operates across 27 cities on six continents. Across the globe, the firm has helped create and invest in more than 1,900 companies, including Lovable, Airalo, and Peec AI, and has supported over 10,000 founders. The long-term goal is to back thousands more founders in the years ahead.

In the Nordics, Antler is developing one of the most active and hands-on early-stage investment platforms in the ecosystem, supporting founders from the point of inception through growth.

The Role

This position sits at the center of Antler’s core investment team. You will be responsible for identifying strong founders, evaluating them, deciding who joins the program, and investing in the most promising teams. You will also continue working with portfolio companies as they scale and prepare for their next funding rounds. The role reports directly to a Partner.

This is a demanding, high-ownership position that requires a full-time in-office presence. It is high pace, highly involved, and not designed as a standard 9-to-5 role.

What You’ll Do

Find and back exceptional founders

  • Spend the majority of your time sourcing outstanding founders and business opportunities through active outreach, content-led efforts, marketing, community engagement, conferences, and broader ecosystem participation.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships across technical, operator, and founder networks.
  • Persuade top talent to choose Antler as their first investor.
  • Review founders and businesses to determine who should be invited into the office for deeper collaboration.
  • Work closely with founders over several weeks and help shape investment decisions, including preparation for due diligence and presentations to the investment committee.

Support founders

  • Partner with founders before and after investment by helping them test ideas, validate direction, and build early momentum. Much of this work takes place in the office, alongside founders as they build.
  • Use your network to help founders and portfolio companies with fundraising, customer acquisition, partnerships, and hiring when it matters most.

Help build Antler

  • Contribute as an active member of the small core team shaping Antler in Continental Europe.
  • Guide junior team members and interns through example, ownership, and a fast working style.
  • Take initiative beyond your formal responsibilities whenever something needs to be fixed or improved, from everyday operational tasks to global initiatives.

Who This Is For

Antler is looking for someone with 2 to 4+ years of experience in early-stage investing, or a founder/operator background that includes raising capital. Candidates should also have demonstrated success in highly competitive environments.

Profile Traits

  • Strong people skills, sound judgment, and the ability to create trust and followership through conversation.
  • Genuinely curious, quick to learn, commercially minded, and energized by meaningful daily impact.
  • Highly self-directed and comfortable working with minimal supervision or frequent check-ins.
  • Confident using modern tools and automation platforms such as Airtable, Zapier, n8n, and Cursor. Candidates with deep technical backgrounds in software, hardware, or research are especially preferred, particularly if they have built or shipped real systems.
  • Able to manage several workstreams at once without compromising quality.

Who Should Not Apply

  • People who prefer spending most of their time on research, market trends, or narrow sector specialization.
  • Those who require constant feedback, validation, or tightly defined instructions.
  • Anyone seeking a hybrid or remote setup, since this role is fully in person.
  • Candidates who are uncomfortable with ambiguity, speed, or complete ownership.
  • People looking for a predictable 9-to-5 schedule or location flexibility such as working from Cape Town during Berlin winter.
  • Those who dislike operational detail, logistics, or repeated tasks.
  • People who want to learn venture capital rather than do the actual work.

Compensation

The fixed salary is competitive, and members of the investment team receive meaningful long-term upside through carry. The role suits people motivated by ownership, results, long-term impact, and upside.

Work Style

This position is explicitly 100% in-person in Berlin and is not intended for remote or hybrid working.
