Role overview
Join the London investment banking group as an Associate and contribute to transaction work, financial analysis, and day-to-day client support. This role involves close interaction with senior bankers, clients, and sector specialists to help deliver strategic advice and execute complex deals.
What you will do
- Build and review detailed financial models, valuation analyses, and company financial statements to assess potential opportunities.
- Study sector trends, market movements, and competitor activity to understand performance and growth outlook.
- Assist with mergers and acquisitions, fund-raising assignments, and strategic advisory mandates.
- Prepare transaction materials such as pitch books, offering memorandums, management presentations, and other deal documents.
- Help manage due diligence by coordinating with internal and external stakeholders and keeping information flow accurate and on time.
- Support client relationships, including meetings and presentations that explain the firm’s capabilities and market views.
- Monitor regulatory developments, industry changes, and new trends shaping the investment banking landscape.
- Contribute to reports and thought-leadership content on market dynamics, innovation, and investment opportunities.
- Work with legal, compliance, and operations teams to support smooth execution and meet regulatory obligations.
- Assist senior colleagues with additional tasks and project work as required to keep the team running efficiently.
What we are looking for
We need a highly motivated, analytical professional with a strong interest in investment banking and the ability to work effectively in a demanding environment. The ideal candidate should be comfortable handling multiple priorities, meeting deadlines, and presenting complex information clearly.
Qualification and experience
A bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, business administration, or a related discipline is required. An MBA is considered an advantage. Prior exposure to investment banking or finance is preferred. The role also calls for strong modelling ability, sound judgment, excellent attention to detail, and a cooperative, proactive mindset.
Additional information
This position is based in London, United Kingdom, and is an onsite full-time role. A strong understanding of the investment banking sector is important, including awareness of key providers and related areas such as pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, and medical devices.
