Overview
This role in Investment Banking within Business Services is based in Chicago and offers opportunities at both the Experienced Analyst and Associate levels. The position involves comprehensive financial analysis, transaction support, client engagement, and strategic advisory responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and review detailed financial models including DCF, LBO, comparable company analyses, and merger models.
- Create and present client-facing materials such as pitch books, management presentations, and transaction documents.
- Support the execution of mergers and acquisitions, equity, and debt transactions by managing due diligence and coordinating processes.
- Conduct in-depth industry research to inform strategic insights and assist with business development activities.
Role Specifics
Experienced Analyst (approximately 3 years experience):
- Execute core modeling, valuation, and other analytical tasks within transaction deals.
- Prepare client deliverables with growing autonomy and precision.
- Assist in transaction processes, working collaboratively with Associates and senior team members.
- Expand sector expertise and improve communication skills tailored for clients.
Experienced Associate:
- Lead transaction components, ensuring model accuracy and quality of deliverables.
- Supervise Analysts, manage timelines, and coordinate among internal and external parties.
- Directly participate in client communication, meetings, and presentations.
- Contribute to business development initiatives, including idea generation and strategic advisory.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree is mandatory.
- Relevant experience in investment banking, corporate finance, or related areas: about 3 years for Analysts; 4 to 6 years or equivalent for Associates.
- Demonstrated expertise in financial modeling, valuation, and analytical skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication, organizational abilities, and capacity to manage multiple priorities.
- Meticulous attention to detail, professionalism, and capability to thrive in a high-pressure environment.
