Role overview
An independent, high-caliber advisory investment bank is hiring a Senior Analyst or Associate I for its Media & Entertainment practice in New York. This is a strong opportunity to join a boutique firm recognized for its distinctive advisory style, direct access to senior leadership, and highly collaborative environment.
The team works with established businesses across media, entertainment, digital content, sports, advertising, gaming, and adjacent sectors, advising on major M&A, fundraising, and strategic advisory mandates. From the outset, team members contribute to active transactions and interact with senior bankers and clients on a regular basis.
This position suits a motivated banking professional who wants substantial responsibility, exposure to complex headline deals, and a workplace that prizes excellence, curiosity, and teamwork.
Key responsibilities
- Run M&A, strategic advisory, and financing assignments from start to finish.
- Create and validate financial models such as DCF, LBO, merger, and comparable company analyses.
- Develop pitch decks, board presentations, CIMs, and other client-facing materials.
- Perform detailed industry, business, and valuation research and analysis.
- Liaise with internal deal teams and client contacts to keep transactions moving.
- For Associate-level candidates, oversee analysts and independently manage workstreams.
Candidate profile
- Prior investment banking experience at the Senior Analyst or Associate I level.
- Strong command of modeling, valuation, and quantitative analysis.
- Genuine interest in media, entertainment, or content-led businesses.
- Excellent accuracy and the ability to perform in a demanding, fast-moving setting.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills.
- Collaborative, intellectually engaged, and highly self-driven.
Additional information
Preferred background includes exposure to media and entertainment transactions. The role is based onsite in New York, NY. This is a full-time position.
