Role Overview
Q Advisors is hiring an experienced Investment Banking Associate to contribute to corporate finance engagements across the Technology, Media, and Telecom (TMT) sectors. This position will support the full deal lifecycle and work across a variety of transaction types, including mergers and acquisitions, debt and equity financing, and other advisory assignments.
The role calls for strong communication and relationship-building abilities, advanced financial modeling and analytical skills, and a solid grasp of corporate accounting and financial reporting. The Associate will work closely with senior bankers, coordinate deal execution, and oversee Analysts in a collaborative team setting.
Primary Responsibilities
- Assist senior bankers with end-to-end execution across business development, equity and debt financings, M&A transactions, and other advisory work.
- Prepare client and transaction materials such as pitch decks, information memorandums, management presentations, financial models, and supporting analyses.
- Carry out valuation work, build and review financial models, and help perform due diligence.
- Review Analyst deliverables, provide direction on structure, quality, and prioritization, and help maintain workstream organization.
- Communicate directly with client executives and take a leading role in deal coordination, process management, and due diligence tracking.
- Support senior bankers during marketing efforts, including active outreach to private equity firms, lenders, and strategic acquirers.
Qualifications
- At least 3 years of experience in M&A advisory or investment banking, with exposure to Analyst and/or Associate responsibilities.
- Strong interest in investment banking and a disciplined work ethic.
- Excellent analytical ability, accounting knowledge, and financial modeling expertise.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- High attention to detail and strong organizational discipline.
- Proven leadership skills and the ability to guide others effectively.
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office tools, especially Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
- FINRA Series 79 or Series 7 license is strongly preferred.
- Ability to conduct industry research effectively; PitchBook experience is preferred.
Compensation and Conditions
The stated all-in compensation, including base salary and bonus, averages between $200,000 and $300,000.
Candidates must be fully vaccinated before starting employment, except where a legally required exemption applies.
