Role overview
This position is with a well-regarded technology-focused investment bank that advises growth software companies, founders, financial sponsors, and strategic buyers on demanding mergers and acquisitions as well as capital markets assignments. The team is known for its strong software-sector knowledge, collaborative environment, and frequent interaction with clients. What you will do
As an Investment Banking Associate, you will contribute to the execution of strategic M&A, private equity, and growth equity mandates while partnering closely with senior bankers and leadership teams throughout each stage of the process.
- Handle M&A, private equity, and growth equity deals from the first discussion through final closing
- Build, assess, and refine detailed financial models, valuation work, and transaction support materials
- Take ownership of important workstreams across active live transactions
- Develop client-facing presentations, marketing collateral, and strategic advisory analyses
- Carry out research on industries, market dynamics, and individual companies in software and the wider technology space
- Interact directly with founders, executives, investors, and experienced banking professionals
- Guide and assist junior colleagues while contributing to a team-oriented culture
Candidate profile
The ideal candidate brings prior investment banking exposure, especially involving technology and software deals. Strong financial modeling and valuation skills are important, along with sharp analytical thinking and the ability to communicate clearly in presentations and discussions. You should be comfortable managing several priorities in a demanding, fast-moving transaction environment. A proactive, entrepreneurial attitude, strong attention to detail, and a solid academic track record are also valued. FINRA Series 63 and 79 registrations are preferred.
