Job description
Role overview
This role sits within Deutsche Bank’s financing division in Sydney and focuses on credit solutions across a wide range of clients. The team also leads the bank’s Asset Backed Securitisation (ABS) activity in Australia, structuring and distributing financing backed by mortgages, auto and equipment assets, as well as other alternative asset classes.
Team and business context
The Australian ABS platform draws on Deutsche Bank’s global network to structure primary issuances and place them with public market investors. The wider financing franchise supports lending requirements across the credit spectrum and works with a broad client base.
Key responsibilities
- Support due diligence work on receivables portfolios and help prepare credit approval papers.
- Assist with the marketing and distribution process for public market securitisation transactions.
- Work directly with internal teams and external stakeholders to support transaction execution.
- Help manage financing facilities by monitoring covenant compliance and related operational requirements.
Skills and experience
Success in this role calls for strong stakeholder communication, solid cash flow modelling capability, close attention to detail, and a collaborative, team-oriented style. The position also suits someone who can manage multiple priorities efficiently and preferably brings recent exposure to securitisation or structured finance.
What the employer offers
- Competitive pay with superannuation paid in addition to fixed salary.
- Four weeks of annual leave, plus an extra week of leave, an additional wellbeing week, and the option to buy more leave, subject to eligibility.
- Salary packaging options for car parking, motor vehicles, taxis and superannuation.
- Parental leave support, including 16 weeks of paid leave for both primary and secondary carers, plus childcare assistance payment.
- Access to a broad benefits suite such as an employee discount programme, annual flu shots, discounted private health cover, and an employee referral programme.
- Insurance cover for life, total disablement and salary continuance.
- Executive health checks for Directors and Managing Directors.
- Matched giving and paid volunteer leave.
How the company supports employees
- Flexible working arrangements to help balance personal priorities.
- Coaching and guidance from experienced colleagues.
- A culture that encourages continuous learning and career progression.
- Flexible benefits that can be tailored to individual needs.
- Training and development opportunities to help you perform and grow.
