From its Düsseldorf Harbour location, the company works with around 50 committed employees and structures renewable-energy funds while also leading the acquisition and management of wind and solar parks across Europe. Its work covers the full investment value chain through three main areas: fund and asset management, project development, and operations management.
Role overview
To support continued growth, aream is looking for an Associate Investment Manager (m/w/d) for its Düsseldorf location or in a hybrid setup. In this role, you will be an integral part of the investment team and contribute across every stage of the investment process.
Responsibilities
- Assist with the assessment of new investment opportunities in wind, solar, and energy storage.
- Evaluate emerging renewable-energy asset classes and related market opportunities.
- Review investment locations, including the relevant regulatory environment.
- Examine quarterly and annual reports from energy-sector companies.
- Help coordinate external advisors in Germany and abroad, such as technical experts, lawyers, and tax consultants.
- Contribute to reporting for banks and investors on existing assets.
- Support acquisition and divestment processes for assets or entities.
- Participate in debt financing work and the structuring of financing solutions.
- Prepare decision papers and briefing materials for the investment committee.
- Create documents and presentations for fundraising activities.
Requirements
- Successfully completed university degree in business, finance, engineering, or a comparable discipline.
- About 3 years of experience as an analyst in investment, M&A, corporate finance, or financial modelling.
- Confident handling of financial models and business analysis.
- Strong analytical ability, a structured way of working, and a proactive mindset.
- Very good command of German and English.
- Interest in renewable energy, technology, and market trends.
- Team-oriented attitude and enjoyment of interdisciplinary collaboration.
