Investment Associate

Role overview

This position is for an early-career Investment Associate to support a private equity investment team in Singapore. The role provides practical exposure to fund investing, portfolio oversight, and the development and packaging of investment products across core offerings.

Key responsibilities

• Build financial models, assess valuations, and analyze the performance of private equity funds and co-investment opportunities.
• Help carry out due diligence on fund managers and underlying portfolio companies.
• Monitor portfolio activity and track core performance indicators such as IRR, MOIC, and cash flow waterfall outcomes.
• Prepare quarterly updates and presentation materials for investors.
• Research market developments, fund strategies, and the competitive landscape to inform investment views.
• Contribute insights that support investment recommendations and decisions.
• Assist with the structuring and promotion of investment products.
• Draft investment committee memos and supporting documents for both internal and external stakeholders.
• Coordinate with fund managers, advisors, and internal teams as needed.
• Support investor education initiatives and related engagement activities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or another related field.
• 1 to 3 years of experience in investment banking, consulting, private equity, or asset management.
• Exposure to funds coverage or capital markets is preferred for investment banking candidates.
• Strong capability in financial modeling and valuation, with working knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint.
• Familiarity with SQL or Python will be an added advantage.
• Good understanding of private equity fund structures and portfolio monitoring concepts.
• Strong analytical ability, along with clear writing and presentation skills.
• A detail-focused, proactive, and career-driven approach suited to private equity.
