Key responsibilities

  • Carry out scenario-based financial analysis for projects when needed.
  • Collect, study, and summarize industry and market data from both public and private sources.

  • Contribute to the preparation of project business plans.
  • Prepare investor reports and ensure their accuracy.
  • Analyze development-sector trends and prepare related findings.
  • Provide coordination and administrative assistance to the investments team as required.
  • Step in to support other Metropia departments when needed.

Requirements

  • At least 3 years of experience in a role centered on financial analysis, ideally within residential real estate development, commercial real estate, accounting, banking, or finance.
  • A university degree in Commerce, Finance, Accounting, or a closely related field.
  • Strong knowledge of the Greater Toronto Area residential real estate market.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to work effectively with little supervision in a fast-paced, changing environment.
  • Strong problem-solving ability and sound judgment.
  • Excellent spoken and written communication skills.
  • Capability to review financial results, identify the main issues, and recommend next steps.
  • Advanced financial modeling capability.
