About the Role
The Midtown Group seeks two Senior Employment Investigations Analysts to serve a leading transportation client in extensive consulting roles lasting two years. These roles involve frequent travel and are ideally suited for individuals based in Los Angeles, Chicago, Philadelphia, or the Northeast Corridor.
The analysts will support employment investigation processes, performing research and analysis to guide case management and resolutions. These experts act as main points of contact for the organization’s external investigation resources.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage intake and processing of employee complaints, performing initial case evaluations to determine severity and appropriately assign investigations.
- Act as primary liaison with external investigation partners to ensure thorough, timely, and quality case handling.
- Analyze complaint data to spot trends and provide insights that inform decision-making and process enhancements.
- Create and deliver reports summarizing complaint patterns, outcomes, and observations to internal stakeholders.
- Carry out comprehensive, objective investigations in line with established best practices, maintaining detailed records.
Qualifications and Experience
- Minimum bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Criminal Justice, or related field; alternatively, an equivalent combination of education, specialized training, and progressive relevant experience is acceptable.
- At least 3 to 5+ years of mid to senior-level experience associated with investigations or relevant analytical disciplines.
- Depending on specialization, candidates must have either 3+ years experience in advanced data analysis or 5+ years background in federal criminal investigations.
- Strong understanding of labor and disciplinary processes, union interactions, and legal counsel coordination for labor-oriented roles.
- Criminal law-focused candidates should possess federal criminal and civil law knowledge, preferably with completion of the FLETC Basic and Advanced Criminal Investigator courses.
- For analytical or fraud investigation roles, expertise in quantitative methods, including advanced analytics, machine learning, or crime analysis technologies is required.

This position involves a medium to high level of travel commitments. The candidate will work closely with a transportation company employing approximately 22,100 team members, dealing with complex and sensitive internal disputes including discrimination and harassment complaints.
