Role Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Inventory Clerk to join our Ikeja-based team in a full-time, on-site capacity. This role centers on meticulous receiving, labeling, and storing of diverse products ranging from mattresses and linens to home fragrances and accessories. Responsibilities include tracking stock movement, executing regular physical inventory audits, balancing records, and maintaining tidy storage spaces. You will facilitate order readiness and assist store personnel with stock needs, while accurately updating digital inventory records. Collaboration with sales and operations is vital to maintain optimal stock levels and uphold company standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Verify incoming deliveries through thorough inspection and documentation review.
• Label and store products systematically, including mattresses, bedding, towels, fragrances, and other home goods.
• Maintain accurate records of stock movements using inventory management software and spreadsheets.
• Conduct regular physical stock counts and resolve inventory discrepancies promptly.
• Prepare products for dispatch and ensure timely receipt by clients or other departments.
• Support store staff by processing stock requests and ensuring availability of items.
• Organize storage areas to optimize space and promote ease of access.
• Collaborate closely with sales and operations teams to synchronize stock replenishment and compliance procedures.

Qualifications and Skills

• Proven expertise in shipping and receiving tasks, including delivery checking and shipment preparation.
• Experience performing physical inventory counts and managing inventory control to minimize loss.
• Professional and clear communication skills for effective coordination among various teams.
• Simple to intermediate proficiency in computers with the ability to operate inventory systems and spreadsheets.
• Strong attention to detail ensuring accuracy in labeling, counting, and documenting.
• Capability to handle physical tasks involving manual lifting and prolonged standing or moving.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills to prioritize duties in a dynamic retail or warehouse environment.
• Background in retail, warehousing, logistics, or familiarity with home and hospitality products is advantageous.
• Minimum education requirement is a high school diploma or equivalent, with additional vocational or technical certification in inventory or logistics being a plus.
