Job description

About the Role

RH is centered on refined taste and the belief that great taste can be scaled across a broad, meaningful platform. The brand brings together leading designers, craftspeople, manufacturers, and talent to create a highly curated luxury home furnishings experience. Its vision goes beyond selling products and extends into shaping spaces, services, and places that reinforce RH as a global leader in design and lifestyle.

Design Consultants are key to delivering premium service to walk-in clients at the RH Gallery. In partnership with RH Interior Design, they help identify client needs and ensure a seamless experience that exceeds expectations. The role suits someone with an entrepreneurial mindset, strong relationship-building skills, and a genuine enthusiasm for luxury design.

What You’ll Do

  • Bring RH’s vision, values, and beliefs into daily work.
  • Deliver an elevated, luxury-level experience through product knowledge and attentive service.
  • Assess, guide, and educate potential clients about RH Interior Design offerings.
  • Manage the client journey from first interaction through delivery.
  • Develop and sustain a strong client network.
  • Help deliver on financial targets and business goals.
  • Act as a brand ambassador through communication, appearance, and professional conduct.
  • Maintain active awareness of the luxury and design market.
  • Support visual presentation and quality expectations throughout the Gallery.

Preferred Background

Candidates with experience in a design studio, high-end furniture, or luxury retail are preferred. A background in Art, Architecture, or Interior Design, combined with practical experience, is also desirable. The role calls for someone who is relationship-focused, organized, collaborative, adaptable, and driven by outcomes. Strong written and verbal communication skills are important, along with comfort using Mac systems, iOS devices, Microsoft Office, and Google apps.

Physical Requirements

The job requires the ability to lift and move small to medium items weighing up to 25 lbs using proper equipment and safe techniques. It also involves moving around the Gallery, stockroom, and office with ease, and includes extended periods of standing, twisting, stooping, kneeling, squatting, bending, and climbing. A valid driver’s license is preferred, and local or out-of-state travel may be required.
