Installation Technician

Position Summary

As an Installation Technician, you will provide expert furniture installation and moving services for interior design projects. This hands-on role requires physical stamina and readiness to perform tasks under various conditions, including overnight travel out of town with expenses reimbursed. Candidates must have experience working with common hand tools.

Work Schedule

The typical working hours are Monday through Friday from 8am to 5pm, with occasional weekend shifts limited to 1-2 times annually. There is no guaranteed minimum number of hours; however, average workdays are around 8 hours, 4 to 5 days a week. Overnight travel for up to 60% of each month is required. The candidate must possess reliable transportation, a valid driver's license, internet access, and a smartphone.

Key Responsibilities

• Load, unload, and move furniture according to assigned tasks.
• Assemble and install furniture and design elements following specified instructions.
• Assist in hanging window treatments and artwork as needed.
• Maintain clean and safe work areas including post-project site clean-up.
• Support warehouse operations including furniture assembly and preparation for upcoming projects.
• Collaborate effectively with team members and management while adhering to safety standards.

Requirements and Skills

• Proven experience in using hand tools such as hammers, screwdrivers, and electric drills.
• Strong interpersonal skills and customer service aptitude.
• Ability to read and interpret furniture assembly instructions accurately.
• Capable of working independently and proactively within a team.
• Willingness to receive training on company-specific installation practices.

Physical Demands and Work Environment

• Perform physical activities including stooping, standing, bending, kneeling, squatting, and lifting items weighing 60 pounds or more frequently.
• Move furniture, including up and down stairs, under diverse weather conditions.
• Operate ladders safely while installing window treatments and artwork.
• Utilize manual and power hand tools necessitating dexterity and hand coordination.

Additional Information

Candidates will undergo background and driving history checks prior to employment. Immediate hiring is planned. Entry-level candidates such as recent college graduates are encouraged to apply.
