Job description

About the role

cosana develops thoughtfully planned spaces for healthcare environments. The company creates innovative spatial concepts that noticeably improve the experience of patients, ranging from premium patient rooms and modern ward concepts to integrated care centers.

The work covers the complete process from initial planning through to ready-to-use implementation, combining medical requirements with high-quality design and cost efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop spatial concepts for private-care areas, patient rooms, and healthcare centers, taking projects from the first idea through implementation support.
  • Create material schemes, color concepts, and furniture plans that meet the specific demands of healthcare settings, including hygiene, functionality, and patient well-being.
  • Prepare concept and execution drawings, together with visualizations and presentations for decision-makers.
  • Work closely with project managers, architects, specialist planners, and clinical staff.
  • Support the preparation of schedules of quantities and tender documents.
  • Follow the project through on site, from sample approvals to final handover.
  • Research current healthcare design trends and translate them into practical design recommendations.

Requirements

  • A completed degree in interior architecture, architecture, or a similar field.
  • Previous experience in interior architecture is desirable, though early-career candidates with a strong portfolio are also welcome.
  • Knowledge of the healthcare sector is ideal, or a willingness to build expertise in the specific needs of healthcare projects.
  • Confident use of software such as pCon, as well as visualization tools like Canva and SketchUp.
  • A strong design sensibility for high-quality, patient-focused spaces.
  • A structured, self-directed way of working paired with strong teamwork skills.
  • Very good German skills; English is an advantage.

Perks

  • Meaningful healthcare projects with real impact.
  • A growing team with flat hierarchies and short decision paths.
  • Flexible hybrid work setup with a mix of office and remote work.
  • Room for your own ideas and creative input.
  • Individual training opportunities and growth prospects.
  • Attractive compensation plus profit participation.
