Role Description

This role entails full-time onsite engagement in Wiesbaden, focusing on the development, optimization, and upkeep of plastic injection molding processes tailored for Kingfa’s advanced material products. Key responsibilities encompass the establishment and fine-tuning of process parameters, resolving molding-related challenges, coordinating mold trial activities, facilitating the launch of new products, and supporting material validation procedures.

The engineer will intimately work with production, quality assurance, research and development, and maintenance teams to troubleshoot issues, minimize defect rates, enhance cycle times, and implement continuous process improvements. Additional duties include documenting standardized processes, training operational staff on optimal practices, and ensuring compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

  • Deep expertise in injection molding techniques including setting parameters, optimizing cycles, and analyzing defect root causes.
  • Familiarity with mold design principles and tooling, covering gate placement, cooling strategies, part ejection mechanisms, and mold upkeep.
  • Understanding of polymer science and material behavior, particularly with modified, engineering, composite, or biodegradable plastics.
  • Experienced with quality and production tools such as Statistical Process Control (SPC), Design of Experiments (DOE), process capability studies, and structured problem-solving methods like 8D and FMEA.
  • Competent in interpreting technical drawings and working with CAD or related engineering software.
  • Knowledge of safety protocols, lean manufacturing, and process improvement frameworks.
  • Strong communication and collaboration abilities within culturally diverse, multifunctional teams.
  • Educational background in plastics engineering, mechanical engineering, materials science, or equivalent disciplines; hands-on experience in injection molding production preferred.
  • Effective organizational skills for managing concurrent tasks and process documentation.
