Role Overview

The Information Technology Support Specialist position involves offering remote technical assistance to internal teams and external collaborators, ensuring uninterrupted access to systems, software, and tools. Daily tasks include handling help desk tickets, diagnosing and resolving hardware and software issues on desktop environments, and helping users with connectivity, access, and setup problems. The role requires maintaining records of problems and solutions, escalating more complex issues when necessary, and enhancing support procedures and knowledge resources.

Qualifications and Skills

Experienced in delivering technical and help desk support, managing tickets, guiding users, and documenting solutions.
Skilled in troubleshooting desktop computer and commonly used business application issues.
Knowledgeable about fundamental IT concepts like operating systems, networking, and security protocols.
Strong verbal and written communication abilities, capable of simplifying technical details for diverse audiences.
Proven experience in providing remote support, with dependable internet and effective self-organization.
Familiar with ticketing platforms, remote access utilities, and collaboration tools such as Slack, Teams, and Zoom.
Certifications or training in IT support (for example, CompTIA A+, ITIL) or equivalent hands-on experience are advantageous.
