Role overview

An established Dublin-based employer is seeking a Technical Support Analyst on a permanent basis. This position offers a team-oriented workplace, ongoing learning and development, and a clear route for professionals looking to build a long-term career in IT.

The role focuses on delivering high-level support to internal staff and ensuring key systems and infrastructure continue to run smoothly. You will serve as an escalation contact for more complex technical issues, support users across a variety of technologies, and work alongside infrastructure and systems teams to strengthen service delivery.

The ideal candidate will be comfortable troubleshooting under pressure, communicating clearly with non-technical and technical stakeholders, and taking a proactive approach in a busy environment.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide advanced technical assistance to internal users across hardware, software, and cloud-based environments.
  • Diagnose, investigate, and close escalated IT incidents and service requests.
  • Act as an escalation contact for first-line support teams and coordinate with infrastructure and systems administrators.
  • Support administration of Microsoft Azure environments.
  • Help manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls.
  • Keep accurate records of IT assets and support activity.
  • Contribute to IT asset management and lifecycle tracking.
  • Take part in IT projects such as hardware rollouts, software deployments, upgrades, and migrations.
  • Prepare and maintain technical documentation, knowledge base content, and support procedures.

Required experience and skills

  • Background in Technical Support, Service Desk, or IT Support Analyst roles.
  • Strong ability to troubleshoot issues and solve problems effectively.
  • Hands-on experience supporting Microsoft Azure environments.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft 365 tools, including SharePoint.
  • Understanding of IT Asset Management processes.
  • Strong client-facing and stakeholder communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple support issues and prioritise effectively.
  • High attention to detail and a practical, proactive working style.
  • Comfort working both independently and as part of a technical team.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred qualifications

  • A degree or diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a similar field.
  • Relevant Microsoft certifications or equivalent technical credentials.
  • Experience in enterprise or multi-site environments.

What’s on offer

  • Competitive salary package.
  • Opportunities for career progression and professional development.
  • Exposure to enterprise-scale infrastructure and cloud technologies.
  • A collaborative and supportive team culture.
