Job description
Role Summary
The IT Operations Specialist will be instrumental in managing and maintaining the technology infrastructure, systems, and services within a streamlined technology environment. This role focuses on administration, support, and operational excellence.
Responsibilities
- Administer and maintain servers, virtual machines, Microsoft Entra ID, Microsoft 365, backup systems, and associated infrastructure.
- Oversee Windows Server services, including Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, IIS, Group Policy, and identity management.
- Ensure service availability and data protection through the management of backup, recovery, and business continuity systems.
- Provide comprehensive technical support for end-user devices, software applications, and network connectivity.
- Manage endpoint devices, user accounts, access permissions, and conference room technologies.
- Facilitate user onboarding and offboarding processes, including equipment provisioning and account setup.
- Execute the full lifecycle management of IT assets, encompassing inventory, deployment, maintenance, replacement, and disposal.
- Administer and maintain network infrastructure components such as firewalls, routers, switches, wireless networks, and Cisco Unified Communications.
- Diagnose and resolve network and connectivity issues, while ensuring infrastructure documentation is up-to-date.
- Support server room operations and liaise with vendors for infrastructure upkeep, deployments, and technical escalations.
Qualifications
- A Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a closely related field is required.
- A minimum of 2 years of professional experience in IT Operations, Systems Administration, Infrastructure Operations, or Network Administration.
- Demonstrated experience with Microsoft 365, Windows Server, Active Directory, and Cisco networking technologies.
- Possession of relevant Microsoft, Cisco, Azure, or equivalent certifications is advantageous.
Key Skills
- Proficiency in Windows Server and Virtualization Platforms.
- Expertise in Microsoft Entra ID / Microsoft 365 administration.
- Strong understanding of Cisco Networking and Unified Communications.
- Experience with Backup, Recovery, and Endpoint Management solutions.
- Familiarity with AV and Video Conferencing Technologies.
- Excellent Troubleshooting and Problem-Solving abilities.
- Skilled in Technical Documentation.
- Competent in Vendor Coordination and IT Asset Management.
Additional Information
Proficiency in English is a mandatory requirement for this role.
